Native Dog Brewing
What to know
Native Dog Brewing was created by husband and wife Bobby & Lauren Glaze. The couple, both pharmacists by trade, share a passion for craft beer, community, and of course, dogs! At Native Dog, everyone can enjoy great beer while meeting new and old friends, including the furry kind.
A little background on the name.... Bobby & Lauren traveled to Fort Thompson, South Dakota for an internship at the Indian Health Service in their last year of Pharmacy school. During their lunch breaks a scruffy, funny-looking dog would wander up to the clinic, begging for food. Clinic staff informed them that sadly, their new friend would not last long, as the reservation dog catcher would be “working” that day and unfortunately, dogs were "disposed of" by dog catcher due to the high number of strays. Lauren tearfully exclaimed- “We have to save him!” Bobby, being caught off guard as Lauren was a self-proclaimed cat lady, reluctantly agreed. On July 12th, 2013, without dog food, supplies, or a plan, the Glazes rescued their new NATIVE DOG and the rest was history.
Baxter came home to Arkansas and has been a part of every special moment of the couple's lives, including Bobby’s marriage proposal, moving to Kentucky for Lauren’s pharmacy residency program, and finally settling in Bobby’s hometown of Camden, Arkansas with the addition of a kitty brother (Skeeter) and doggy brother (Jeri). Now, the family has the perfect location to celebrate Baxter’s annual Rescue Day with friends and their pups.
Community is important to the Native Dog tribe. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local organizations- to build a better Camden and support those most in need.
