William Looney Tavern

What to know

One of the finest surviving examples of early log building traditions in Arkansas. Constructed in the early 1830s and used as a rural tavern / inn by William Looney. During restoration it was discovered that the structure was also used for Looney’s distilling industry. Until his death in 1846, he produced up to 1500 gallons of apple brandy yearly.
