This 1939 post office features a Depression-era mural that was financed through the U. S. Treasury Department's Section on Fine Arts. It was part of the effort to employ Depression-era artists and place art in post offices around the country. Listed in the National Historic Register. The mural, titled "Portrait of Contemporary DeWitt" was painted by William Traher (1908-1984) and completed in 1941.
