Candle Creation

Before the days of electricity, the first settlers that lived across the landscape that Delta Heritage Trail crosses relied on homemade candles for light on long and dark nights. Here is your chance to see how they created these from materials they often produced at home. Best of all, you get to create your own to take home. Preregistration is required by calling the park at (870) 572-2352. Children are encouraged to attend but must be at least eight years old and be accompanied by an adult. There is a modest fee to cover the cost of materials that can be paid on arrival.
