Fashioning Your Own Rag Doll

Children from the many former small farms and communities that Delta Heritage Trail passes by often fashioned their own rag dolls during the period when it was an active rail line. This is your chance to see and learn how they transformed low cost and leftover materials from homemade clothes, worn out items, and other things they had into a toy to play with like children do today. Participants can make their own doll to take home as a souvenir of their visit to Delta Heritage Trail State Park. Preregistration is not required. The fee can be paid on arrival at the visitor center. Children are encouraged to attend but must be accompanied by an adult.
