Scout Explorer Patch Day
What to know
Scouts of all types and levels are invited to Delta Heritage
Trail State Park on Saturday, May 21st for a Delta Heritage Trail State
Park Scout Explorer Patch Day. This new program allows scouts to experience the
rich history and natural landscape that Delta Heritage Trail passes through and
earn a patch in one day. They will get a chance to see what it was like working
for a logging company that the former rail line served and even try out a
crosscut saw. We will also journey further back in time and explore American
Indians hunting techniques and even try out an ancient hunting tool called an
atlatl. You also do not want to miss this event as we are going to feed our
speckled king snake we have on display. The fee per scout includes the cost for the
patch that they can take home. Preregistration is
required by Wednesday, May 18th and space is limited. For questions about this event or to register please contact the park at (870) 572-2352.
