First Day Hike at Lake Chicot State Park

Celebrate the arrival of 2024 by taking part in the first day hike at Lake Chicot State Park! This easy, mostly paved 1-mile guided hike will reveal many of the special pieces that fit together to make Lake Chicot State Park an Arkansas treasure. This hike will begin at the front of the visitor center and will run through the main park, as the Delta Woodlands trail is currently closed for improvements. Season-appropriate attire, comfortable hiking shoes, water, and insect repellent are recommended.
