Thursday, Jan 18, 2024; 5:30 - 8:30PM: Jambalaya - Jambalaya is an American Creole and Cajun rice dish of French, African, and Spanish influence, consisting mainly of meat and vegetables mixed with rice. Yet, that definition does not come close to describing the delicious goodness of Jambalaya. CLICK HERE for more information and for the registration page.
Thursday, Jan 25, 2024; 5:30 - 8:30PM: Gumbo - Chicken and sausage gumbo crosses all class barriers, appearing on the tables of the poor as well as the wealthy. Gumbo is often cited as an example of the melting-pot nature of southern cooking: a steaming bowl is one of life’s cherished pleasures. CLICK HERE for more information and for the registration page.
Thursday, Feb 2, 2024; 5:30 - 8:30PM: Crawfish Étouffée - Étouffée is a French word, which translated literally means “smothered” or “suffocated.” As a cooking method, seafood is smothered in vegetables with a sauce, resulting in a stew-like seafood dish traditionally served with cooked rice. Join in for a night of roux-making and cooking fun! CLICK HERE for more information and for the registration page.
