Great Backyard Bird Count

Mississippi River State Park is all about citizen science and the Great Backyard Bird Count is an ideal project for beginners and professionals alike! Participants will spend 15 minutes or more each day counting all the different birds they see and/or hear. With your help counting, we can join participants across the country to create a real time snapshot of diverse birds and locations. The park will host a variety of birding programs for participants where the park interpreter will be there to help you with identification and instructions how the count is conducted. All skill levels and abilities are welcome!
