Becoming a Citizen Scientist: Winter Edition

Visitor Center

What to know

Logoly State Park is home to a wide variety of fascinating plants and animals. Many of us make note or take pictures of our positive interactions with wildlife. Not only is it fun to record these encounters, but these observations represent valuable data that can be used by researchers throughout the country. Join park staff to learn how and where you can turn your observations in to help us all better understand our local wildlife. Participants will spend at least an hour walking around park grounds, observing wildlife. Then, each participant will be guided to Citizen Science outlets (e.g., eBird, iNaturalist, etc.), where they can submit their wildlife findings. Binoculars and cameras are not required, but are definitely recommended. Space is limited, so call the park or stop by to sign up.
