Annular Solar Eclipse Watch Party
Queen Wilhelmina State Park
What to know
A partial solar eclipse will be visible in Queen Wilhelmina State Park on October 14th! The moon will cover 77 percent of the Sun at our location, making an incredibly unique experience for all. Meet a park interpreter at 11 a.m. for a 30-minute program on what a solar eclipse is, the history of eclipses, and how wildlife reacts to a solar eclipse. Popcorn and solar eclipse glasses are provided! A telescope with a solar filter will be set up for the 2-hour duration of the eclipse, so guests can get a once-in-a-lifetime view of the sun! A park interpreter is manning the telescope and is present to answer any questions.
