Solar Eclipse Camping Festival 2024 Mena Arkansas
What to know
RV and tent Camping, hot showers, live music, food, vendors, activities, on-site Spanish carvings, wildlife exhibits, astronomy presentations, and more all on 160 beautiful acres of forest and wideopen spaces. We have a great celebration lined up for you to enjoy. Our next solar eclipse is April 8, 2024. Located seven miles east of Mena, Arkansas, we have the perfect spot in the path of totality with 4 minutes 8 seconds of darkness. No need to fight the traffic… We have everything all in one place and a better chance of clearer skies than Mazatlan, Mexico. This week-long festival to benefit The Ouachita Land Conservation Fund and our School Lunch program.
We are in the path of totality, and with great mountain views and a totality of 4 minutes 8 seconds, you’ll have an experience of a lifetime. It typically takes 550 years for a total solar eclipse to pass over the same place twice in the Northern Hemisphere and 350 years in the Southern Hemisphere.
For those wanting to view another total solar eclipse in the contiguous United States after the 2024 event, it’ll be a 20-year wait until August 23, 2044, for the next one. Plus, that eclipse is visible only in northwestern Montana and a tiny segment of North Dakota. So let’s make 2024 a huge celebration!!

Clay Sherrod of Arkansas Observatory, to help shed some light on this magnificent planetary phenomenon.

Yes, there will be some festivities going on during the first four days prior to the main festival…. music, vendors, karaoke, concessions, and activities. We have two campgrounds available, the North Campground and the VIP Campground. The North Campground is a five-minute walk from the festivities and amphitheater, while the VIP campground is near the amphitheater with views overlooking the mountains and the valleys below.
Bull Pasture, our smaller amphitheatre, has a capacity just over 2,400 and will be utilized for our concerts. Lawn chairs are allowed. Please do not bring high-backed chairs, as these can block the view of others and are not allowed. Fox Pen Amphitheater, which is our largest amphitheater, will be utilized for our smaller acoustic acts and our early morning activities, and is located between the two campgrounds.
We will have some great country artists lined up, as well as bluegrass and folk. Our country artists will consist of major artists as well as new artists. We will add these artists as they are confirmed. Artist schedule and lineup subject to change.
