Feature Performers - Ken & Brad Kolodner Trio
Opening Act - Benjamin Haguewood & the Taller Than You Band
The dynamic father-son duo Ken & Brad Kolodner weave together a captivating soundscape on hammered dulcimer, banjo, and fiddles pushing the boundaries of the old-time tradition into uncharted territory. Regarded as one of the most influential hammered dulcimer players and old-time fiddlers in North America, Baltimore’s Ken Kolodner has joined forces with his son Brad Kolodner, a rising star in the clawhammer banjo world. Together, they infuse their own brand of driving, innovative, tasteful, and unique interpretations of traditional and original fiddle tunes and songs. They perform tight and musical arrangements of original and traditional old-time music with a “creative curiosity that lets all listeners know that a passion for traditional music yet thrives in every generation.” In concert, they regularly perform as a trio with bassist Alex Lacquement who locks everything together with his commanding and tasteful choices. They also perform on occasion with multi-instrumentalist Rachel Eddy (fiddle, banjo, guitar, and vocals), a former member of the old-time supergroup Uncle Earl.
Evening Concert tickets are $12 or FREE with a season pass. Season passes are good for all 25+ Feature Matinee and Evening Concerts, a $490 value for just $75. Combo tickets are also available for $19.50 and include general admission seats to the matinee and evening shows, plus an all-day pass to the Craft Village at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. Doors open for evening shows at 6 p.m. with local musicians opening the concert at 7 p.m.
This Feature Concert includes a matinee set from 2 - 3 p.m. at The Blacksmith Stage in the Artisan Craft Village and an evening performance in Ozark Highlands Theater from 7 - 9 p.m. The Craft Village features more than 20 artisans who you can meet, see them demonstrate their craft, and buy their unique creations.
Refund/Rain Check Policy
In the event of a cancellation, tickets for this show can be used for other Feature Concerts at the Ozark Folk Center State Park during the calendar year. Refunds for canceled shows can/will also be processed, at the request of the ticket holder.
