Handcrafted Evening in the Park
What to know
The Ozark folk are known for their strong tradition of fine craftsmanship. The crafts people at the Ozark Folk Center State Park continue this tradition by creating fine functional and decorative handmade items in their workshops in the park. On Friday, July 21, from 6-9 p.m., OFCSP resident crafts people will share a side of their working studios that you don't see during the regular day. In addition to demonstrating how they create their crafts, they will talk about how they connected with their craft, and the details of crafting in the modern world. They'll have all their works for sale, and many take custom orders.
Many shops will have special treats for their evening visitors. Admission to the Craft Village is free for this evening event. There is plenty of parking in the lower lot and our free shuttle will carry you to the Village on the top of the hill.
The Craft Village is
especially beautiful in the evening. Many of the workshops will be open for
this unique chance to have a quiet visit with a working craftsman.
Come visit with our working crafters about how they learned their skills and where they find their inspiration. Learn about their tools and their workshops. Buy unique handcrafted items directly from the folks who are making them. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. There’s nothing quite like a summer evening in the park.
