Herbal Allies: Favorite Herbs I Use Every Day

Ozark Folk Center State Park

What to know

Registration is required and closes two weeks before the start of class.

“Adaptogens” has become a buzz word during the pandemic—find out what they do and why we should use them. This class will focus on some of the healing herbs which help to relieve stress and anxiety, support the immune system, and rejuvenate the mind and body. Students will make a tincture and glycerite and gain new herbs, instructional materials and a focus on well-being.

Some of these herbs might be familiar to you and can be harvested from the Heritage Herb Garden. Others are leaves, roots or berries that have been used for centuries by herbalists from around the world. We will examine each of these healing botanicals for identification, discuss their healing properties, and taste them in infusions, syrups, or tinctures.

Registration closes two weeks prior to the start of class. Class minimum is 3 and maximum is 8, so sign up soon!

A $22 registration fee is to be paid upon sign up. Additionally, a $100 class fee is due at start of the course (cash or check), and a $30 non-refundable materials fee to be paid in advance when you sign up. Please send $30 materials fee to PayPal.me/susanbelsinger.
