Locker Hooking - Another Way To Make Rugs

Learn to make your own rugs, placemats, chair seat covers, handbags, and more in this locker hooking class. You will learn how to design your own patterns on canvas, cut your own fabric and use the locker hook (a combination of crochet hook and big eye) and yarn to create mats of all styles.

In this class we will -

• discuss fabric and yarn types;
• cut and prepare the fabric;
• draw our designs on canvas;
• hook up the mug rug, and;
• finish the edges of our mug rugs.

You will finish one piece and come away with the skills to create many more.

Your fee will cover all materials to make a 5x5 inch mug rug and handouts that will include resources to purchase tools and supplies. 

Class fee $50 is due when you arrive for class

• Registration deadline July 1, 2021. Call the park at (870) 269-3854 to register.
  
• Minimum students 2, maximum 8.
• Class starts at 10 a.m. Meet your instructor and pick up your packet in the Administration Building lobby. Class will finish at 3 p.m. with a break in the middle for lunch.
