Birding Hike on the Little Missouri
Crater of Diamonds State Park
What to know
Beat the heat and learn the basics of birding! Meet a park Interpreter at the trailhead of the Little Missouri River Trail. This 1.2-mile trail winds its way through the woods from the campground to the scenic Little Missouri River. A portion of this trail is paved, and the unpaved section is easily walked. It is recommended to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. The park interpreter will have a set of binoculars for the group to share, but it is recommended to bring your own if possible.
