Night Sky Exploration

Mount Magazine State Park is located far from big cities, giving it some of Arkansas’s best night sky viewing. Weather permitting; explore the night sky with a park interpreter for an excellent observation of stars, constellations, planets, and a first quarter moon. Tonight is the peak of the Geminid meteor shower which sometimes shows close to 200 meteors an hour. Feel free to bring binoculars, telescopes, blankets, or lawn chairs.
