Wilderness Survival Hike
Davidsonville Historic State Park
What to know
Lace up your hiking boots and pull on your gloves as we take a morning hike designed to teach some basic wilderness survival skills. Our two-mile hike will cover several methods of fire starting, emergency shelter creation, basic orienteering for the non-hiker, and what steps to take should you become lost on an outdoor adventure. Participants should dress for the weather, bring water, and something to snack on. This program is designed to teach basic skills only, and is suited for scout groups just beginning their adventures as well as those who want to learn useful outdoor skills. Reservations requested, but not required.
