Girls Scouts Love State Parks 2023: Eco Hike- Butterflies & Blooms Trail
Lake Charles State Park
What to know
Join a park interpreter for a guided eco hike along the easy 0.6-mile Butterflies and Blooms Trail to
learn how practicing Leave No Trace principles can mean the difference between enjoying a beautiful day hike and a long-term fight against invasive species. Please wear weather appropriate attire and sturdy, close-toed shoes. Bring plenty of water and insect repellent. The trail is mostly gravel, but there are some uneven spots. Activities will help meet some of the requirements for the Daisy Eco Learner, Brownie Eco Friend, Junior Eco Camper, and Cadette Eco Trekker badges. No fee is required, but space is limited. To register, please contact the Lake Charles State Park visitor center at (870) 878-6595 by September 4, 2023. #GSLSP2023
