Astronomy Night with Sugar Creek Astronomical Society

Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area

What to know

We will begin with an indoor program in the Discovery Classroom which will be a tour of the fall night sky, as well as viewing pictures from the solar eclipse that took place October 14th. Weather permitting, the outdoor viewing will begin about 6 p.m. when we will be observing the moon, Saturn, and Jupiter. Items you may wish to bring include a flashlight covered with a red cloth (or red balloon) and a folding chair. If you have binoculars or a star chart, feel free to bring them. Club members will bring telescopes to share with the public. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Reservations not required.
