Christmas Ornaments in the 1920s
Tinkering Area of the Museum
What to know
At the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources, we offer a variety of hands-on activities that explore the story of the 1920s south Arkansas oil boom. During the holidays in the 1920s instead of store-bought ornaments, many families fashioned homemade ornaments and decorations. Join us at the museum for homemade origami star ornaments and discover some fun facts about the holidays of the past in south Arkansas. Please contact the museum at (870) 725-2877 to reserve a place in the program.
