Let’s celebrate the end of summer break and the beginning of a new school year. Sit back and enjoy some popcorn and watch a silent movie. Learn the history of Smackover's own American Theater, which was a popular part of entertainment during the 1920s oil boom. You can walk through a replica of the theater on our Boomtown Street. Learn about silent movies and why this was such a huge form of entertainment during the oil boom of South Arkansas. Program details are subject to change.
