Mammals at the Museum

Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources

What to know

Can you guess what mammals have been seen in the Oil Park at the museum? With a park interpreter, discover some of the animals that call the Oil Park home. Touch various animal furs, as you learn interesting facts about them. Also, uncover the story of how the rush to find black gold affected the environment and animals such as these during the 1920s oil boom. There will be no live animals at this program. However, there will be animals furs available for people to see and to touch. No registration is required for this program. Contact the museum at (870) 725-2877, if you have any questions.
Covid-19 guidelines will be in effect for guest and staff safety. Space may be limited.
