Tinkering for Tots: Bears and Other Mammals of South Arkansas

Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources

What to know

Bears, racoons, and skunks. These are only some of the furry mammals that are found in the oil fields of south Arkansas. Come to the museum with your preschool child to have some hands-on fun, as we learn what makes mammals such fascinating animals. We will read a story, have a music and movement activity, and make an animal craft. You will also be able to touch real animal furs. However, there will be no live animals at this presentation. Come dressed to make a mess with paint, as you make your own special animal craft. This program is designed for children from 2-5 years of age. Adults are required to remain with their children during the program. Please contact the museum at (870) 725-2877 to reserve a place for your child.
