Flapjack 20

Pavilion #1 (Pavilion by the Playground)

What to know

Originally developed to help Boy Scouts earn a badge, the Flapjack 20 is a 20-mile night hike that takes place on the Cane Creek Lake Trail. It is now open to the public for everyone to enjoy! Strike out on this nighttime adventure and see what the wilderness holds after the sun goes down! Multiple extraction checkpoints mean that you do not have to complete the full 20 miles. Just do what you can. Participants must sign up at the park or over the phone by Friday, January 26th. Check-in for the hike will begin at 7:30 p.m. and announcements will be made at 8 p.m. before you head out. Once you finish, come back to the meeting place at Cane Creek’s Pavilion #1 for a campfire and well-earned flapjack breakfast. Trained park personnel will be available at all times. A hiker fee covers your registration and meal. For more information, or to volunteer, please contact Assistant Superintendent Victoria Wright at (870) 628-4714 or email at victoria.wright@arkansas.gov.
