**Join Us for an Unforgettable Experience: Extreme Solar Eclipse Exploration Event in Walnut Ridge!**

The City of Walnut Ridge and the Lawrence County Library invite you to immerse yourself in the Celestial Wonders, as we monitor and discuss various topics related to the Total Eclipse. We will be giving away 150 Eclipse Glasses on a first come basis to those attending the event, as we continue to celebrate our Sesquicentennial Birthday!

Leading the event is James Moore, an Astronomer from Alabama, JPL/NASA Solar System Ambassador, and President of the Birmingham Astronomical Society. James will have telescopes set up for an up-close view of the eclipse, at the Large Pavilion at Stewart Park located at 1102 NE 2nd Street. Along with James, the Lawrence County Library will have space related activities for all ages, Reading Dragon logs and special Solar Eclipse Themed Dragon Cards for anyone in attendance.

(First Solar Contact is 12:57 p.m. and Eclipse Totality is at 1:54 p.m.)

 Please note that this exceptional event is contingent on "Clear Skies." In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the event will be canceled without notice.

 On March 15th, 2024, in preparation for the Total Solar Eclipse, the Lawrence County Library will be launching a Reading Dragons and Friends program.
