17th Annual Red River Heritage Symposium Teachers Workshop
What to know
We are offering an all-day teacher’s workshop on Friday, July 21, and a morning program on Saturday, July 22. Lunch will be provided for both workshops. Sessions will cover resources for the classroom in regard to studying the impact of commerce and trade in the Great Bend region of the Red River in the 19th century. Workshop presenters will include staff from Historic Washington State Park, Arkansas State Archives, and Mosaic Templars Museum of African American history. Saturday’s symposium will focus “Business and Trade” along the Red River Valley. We also encourage you to participate in the symposium. If you attend all programs, we are offering a discounted price of $50. A total of twelve credit hours will be available for teachers to earn both days of the symposium.
