Audubon Christmas Bird Count - Village Creek State Park Count Circle
Village Creek State Park
What to know
Join us for the 124th annual Christmas Bird Count, the longest-running citizen science survey in the world.
Counts can be family or community traditions that create fascinating stories.
Volunteers and staff will divide and conquer the park in order to count and observe bird populations. Individuals of all levels of birding experience are encouraged to participate. Accuracy is assured by having new participants join an established group that includes at least one experienced birdwatcher. Also, if you live within the 15-mile diameter circle, you can participate from the comfort of your home counting birds in your backyard. Call the park to contribute to this citizen-science volunteer event. If possible, please call two days in advance for your assigned area.
