Little Rock, Ark -- The Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock has something going on constantly. You could visit every month and see or do something new every time. Mark your calendar now for these events.

If you haven’t already done so, be sure and pick up “A Passport to Clinton Places in Arkansas: A Billgrimage.” This recent publication features information on all the Clinton-related sites in the state. Towns include Hope, Hot Springs, Fayetteville and Little Rock. At each location, visitors get passport stamps that help track their trips. The passport is available at the Clinton Presidential Library and can be stamped at the Clinton Museum Store in downtown Little Rock’s River Market.

The “Breaking the Veils” Women Artists from the Islamic World” exhibit is currently on display at the Clinton Presidential Library and will run through Sept. 14. This International art exhibition showcases 51 women artists from 21 Islamic countries. It is designed to challenge the current stereotypes about women’s lives in the Islamic world and celebrates their artistic contributions to their culture. The exhibit is presented in cooperation with The ArtReach Foundation, Delta Airlines, Royal Society of Fine Arts of Jordan and the Pan-Mediterranean Women Artists Network F.A.M.

The month of August brings the launch of “Ideas Matter!” This special tour with accompanying brochure is intended to help students learn about President Clinton and his ideas for our country and its future. It is designed to help educate and encourage the leaders of tomorrow.

A new exhibit goes on display beginning Sept. 20 entitled “Art of the Chopper.” The exhibit, which runs through Feb. 8, is based on the best-selling books, “Art of the Chopper” and “Art of the Chopper II,” by Tom Zimberoff. Thirty exceptional customized motorcycles will be at the library. The Clinton Presidential Center American Classics Festival will also take place on Sept. 20. A celebration of American culture and all things Americana, the event features Rib Rally on the River, a backyard barbecue competition open to both individuals and teams who believe they have the best barbecue recipe secret. In addition to the cook-off and the exhibit opening, there will be music by Little Feat and others, a March of Dimes “Bikers for Babies” rally, a “Divine Swine Art Gallery,” plus a variety of games and activities for the kids, and lots of food.

October 1 brings “All Around the World Wednesdays,” a program designed to help children in grades K-3 learn abut the cultures and travels Mr. Clinton experienced during his Presidency. The series runs through Dec. 17.

Additional information is available on the library’s Web site -- www.clintonpresidentalcenter.org – or by calling 501-748-0419. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
