Trail of Holiday Lights Shines Nov. 20-Dec. 26

The 2006 Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights strings together 65 communities and their lighting displays, parades and events this Christmas season. From Nov. 20 to Dec. 26, travel The Natural State to see old favorites along the trail – such as Pine Bluff, Eureka Springs and Sherwood – or returning participants – Jonesboro, Paris, Greenwood and Wiederkehr Village.

Participating communities offer a variety of contemporary decorations including scenic drive-throughs with thousands of lights, live performances and concerts, larger-than-life displays and family activities. Most are free, but some accept donations.

A brochure detailing the trail is available at Arkansas Welcome Centers, Chambers of Commerce of participating cities, the Little Rock National Airport, Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, selected visitor centers and participating Shell Superstops, Bank of America and Best Western locations. It will also be included in Vacation Planning Kits (obtained by calling 1-800-NATURAL) during the holiday season and can be downloaded from Arkansas.com.
