It’s all about quilts as the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum in Tyronza hosts the First Ever STFM Quilt Festival on March 6-7. The non-juried show features a plethora of quilts ranging in sizes and ages. The two-day event has quilting demonstrations, workshops on quilting techniques, and lectures on quilts. In 1992, the National Symphony Orchestra began its American Residencies program, which takes the orchestra to one state each year to perform and conduct educational outreach. Warfield Concerts in Helena-West Helena welcomes the National Symphony Orchestra to the Lily Peter Auditorium on March 25. The performance is free and begins at 7:30 p.m. Making its home at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the National Symphony is considered “America’s Symphony.” Principal Conductor Iván Fischer will conduct the performance, which will feature selections by Wagner, Weiner, Bernstein, and Dvorák. The University of Arkansas at Monticello and the Seark Concert Association present the Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Fine Arts Center on March 29.
