Travelin’ the Arkansas River Valley: Events Taking Place During February

This way you will be able to look only at the areas you are interested in covering. The territories covered in Travelin' Arkansas adhere to the six geographical regions found in the Arkansas Tour Guide. The art of Patsy Lane and John Malveto will be featured Feb. 4-24 at the Fort Smith Art Center, located at 423 N. 6th St. in Fort Smith. Head to Mount Nebo State Park in Dardanelle on Feb. 5-7 for a weekend dedicated to birds. The annual event is called Migrating Through the River Valley and includes various birding programs suited for any age. The River Valley is one of the best places in Arkansas to see winter birds. Bost's 8th annual Grape Escapes is set for Feb. 26 in Fort Smith. Grape Escapes is a cocktail-style party where guests enjoy more than 600 delightful and exotic wines from around the world while area restaurants and caterers share their delicacies. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on luxury getaways and dance to live music. The event takes place at the Holiday Inn City Center and admission is $100 per ticket.
