“Steel Magnolias” will take the stage at Center on the Square in Searcy from March 27-April 12. The story of the ladies of Chinquapin has become a Broadway and cinema favorite. Spend the evening reliving the touching and funny stories as told by Truvy, Ouiser, Clairee, Annelle, M’Lynn, and Shelby. Take a musical journey as only Andrew Lloyd Webber can provide as the Imperial Dinner Theatre in Pocahontas presents “Jesus Christ Superstar” each weekend from March 14-April 26. The Walnut Ridge Army Flying School Museum in Walnut Ridge will host the 11th Annual Air Field Reunion on April 3-4, honoring those who worked and trained at the facility during World War II. Activities include museum and airfield tours, movies from the era, a memorial service, a benefit auction and much more. Experience life in the fast lane in Batesville during the Mark Martin Fan Days on April 10-11. Martin, the championship driver and Batesville native, and other NASCAR drivers will be on-hand to greet visitors, sign autographs, and answer questions. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Rick Hendrick, and Tony Stewart are scheduled to appear over the two days. The sound of bagpipes will echo through the Ozarks again this spring, as Lyon College in Batesville hosts the 30th Annual Arkansas Scottish Festival on April 17-19. The festival, which honors Scottish heritage and traditions, features a vast array of events and exhibits, a kilted golf tournament, food vendors offering traditional Scottish dishes, Celtic music, sheepdog demonstrations, and, of course, bagpipes.
