The 8th Annual Miller-Bowie Quilt Show, the largest show in the board's 18-year history, will exhibit more than 200 quilts at the Fine Arts Buildings at the Four States Fairgrounds in Texarkana March 6-7. There will be a raffle for the “Rail Through the Rockies,” quilt, a small miniature quilts silent auction, special exhibits, a boutique featuring quilted items, door prizes and vendors from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Tour four daffodil gardens and historic homes during the 6th Annual Camden Daffodil Festival March 6-7. The tours are only available once a year. Enjoy the quilt and art show and visit the festival activities downtown to enjoy food, crafts, and live entertainment. There will also be a cemetery walk and Civil War re-enactors. Stay around and enjoy the famous steak cook-off Saturday evening as the finale to the festival. Fruit Tours at Suzanne’s Fruit Farm are set to take place March 15-April 13 in Hampton. Enjoy an old-fashioned riding tour in a covered wagon through blooming peach and plum orchards, muscadine and scuppernong vineyards, and blueberry and blackberry patches. On the tour, guides will explain the history of the fruit industry in Arkansas as well as how these crops are grown and harvested. Call ahead for reservations.
