Arkansas Tourism wins national destination marketing award

Recognition marks first of its kind for the state

Arkansas Tourism was recently honored with a Mercury Award by the U.S. Travel Association during the 2018 Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO) event in Phoenix.

Arkansas was chosen over Travel Michigan and the Idaho Department of Commerce in the digital campaign category for its 2017 digital marketing campaign.

Mercury Awards recognize “excellence and creative accomplishment in state and territory destination marketing and promotion.” Arkansas was one of only 26 U.S. Travel member organizations recognized during the ESTO event.

Little Rock agency CJRW developed the campaign, which incorporated native video as well as geographic and demographic targeting. A judging panel of marketing experts from organizations including JPMorgan Chase, Hylink North America and the University of South Carolina selected the winners for this year’s award programs.
