Join a Park Interpreter for a Herping Hike along the Little Maumelle River.  A herping hike in this bottomland hardwood swamp is a slow-paced, sensory-rich, and often challenging expedition focused on finding reptiles and amphibians a.k.a. "herps". The hike will involve navigating saturated habitats, dominated by cypress trees, tall forest floor vegetation, and murky water, where you might encounter frogs, salamanders, snakes, and turtles. Be sure to bring boots, bug spray, and plenty of water.
