Macroinvertebrate Mayhem

An active, kinesthetic program for guests of all ages that teaches how environmental stressors, such as pollution, impact aquatic biodiversity and stream health. With a park interpreter as your guide, you can catch macroinvertebrates in the stream using nets, and learn to identify pollution-sensitive vs. tolerant species and how these organisms act as bio-indicators of water quality. We suggest wearing boots or shoes that can get wet.
