Carving in the Ozarks
The sound of chainsaws will once again echo through the hills as Carving in the Ozarks returns April 24–25, 2026, for its 21st annual celebration of chainsaw carving, artistry, and community at The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs.
What started as a local idea has grown into one of the most unique events in the region, drawing talented carvers and visitors from across the country for a weekend full of creativity, energy, and sawdust.
Throughout the weekend, over 20 professional chainsaw carvers will transform raw logs into incredible sculptures, live and in real time. From detailed wildlife carvings to bold, imaginative pieces, each artist brings their own style and personality to the wood. Visitors can watch the entire process unfold, from the first cut to the final details, making it a
truly one-of-a-kind experience
Carving in the Ozarks offers more than just chainsaw art. Guests can enjoy:
– Food trucks and local vendors
– A family-friendly, come-and-go atmosphere
– The opportunity to purchase carvings directly from artists, ranging from small take-home
pieces to large statement sculptures
Live Benefit Auction – Saturday at 4 PM
The excitement continues with the Live Benefit Auction on Saturday at 4 PM, where many of the carvings created during the event will be sold.
Proceeds from the auction go back into the community, supporting local nonprofits including:
– Full Faith Ministries Food Bank in Holiday Island, AR
– Eureka Springs High School SkillsUSA program
These organizations play an important role in supporting local families and students, making the
event not just entertaining, but impactful.
