A Gathering for Reading of the Declaration of Independence

As Arkansas State Parks celebrate America250, a park interpreter will read aloud the Declaration of Independence. Following this reading, Lake Ouachita State Park would also like to pause and acknowledge the history that happened here before the birth of this nation. We’ll highlight what we know about the early discovery of the Ouachitas, the historic Hot Springs and how the Three Sister's Springs played a role not only for the locals, but with the establishment of the park today.
