A Gathering for Reading of the Declaration of Independence

As Arkansas State Parks celebrate America250, a park interpreter will read aloud the Declaration of Independence. Following this reading, Plum Bayou Mounds Archeological State Park would also like to pause and acknowledge the history that happened here before the birth of this nation. We’ll highlight what we know about the Native Americans who built this site and the modern efforts to preserve and protect this National Historic Landmark.
