A Gathering for Reading of the Declaration of Independence

Join park staff at the museum for a reading of the Declaration of Independence as we commemorate America 250.  Discover why the words of America’s founding fathers left a legacy that lasted 250 years and counting.  After the reading, we’ll learn some of the history of how river travel in Arkansas allowed early travelers, settlers, and pioneers to navigate and explore before modern transportation or railroads.  Almost every Arkansas State Park is hosting a similar program today - enjoy the special feeling of being part of a state- and nation-wide event!
