Free Fishing Weekend Booth

Arkansas Free Fishing Weekend is an annual event allowing residents and non-residents to fish without a license. The event is designed to encourage visitors to experience the joys of fishing and to appreciate Arkansas' natural resources. This weekend serves as a great way to get started on your fishing journey. Free Fishing Weekend takes place at noon Friday, June 12, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday night, June 14, 2026. 

The Free Fishing Weekend Booth will be stationed at Lake Sylvia by the boat launch from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Guests are encouraged to ask questions, check out a fishing pole, or stay for an interpretive discussion about the fish of Lake Sylvia.
