Learn About & Experience Delta Heritage Trail at the Arkansas City July 4th Celebration!

Delta Heritage Trail connects with many Delta communities all along its route and you're invited to come enjoy one of them during Arkansas City’s Independence Day festivities! Meet park staff at the Arkansas City Trailhead parking lot between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., where our park team will be stationed at a trail‑side tent to share insights into the unforgettable outdoor adventures the park has to offer.

Want to take your visit a step further? Every 30 minutes from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m., a park interpreter will lead a hands‑on orientation to e‑bikes, followed by a short test ride so you can see the trail from a whole new perspective.

After your visit and/or ride, stick around and enjoy all that the city of Arkansas City’s July 4th celebration has to offer. Live music begins at 5:00 p.m., food trucks will be on site, and you’re invited to bring a lawn chair and settle in for an evening of community fun capped off with a spectacular fireworks display.
