Lakeport Plantation

Built in 1859, Lakeport is the last remaining plantation home on the Mississippi River in Arkansas and is considered one of the state’s premiere historic structures. Sultana Disaster Museum

The Sultana was a Civil War era, paddlewheel steamboat whose destruction in an explosion on April 27, 1865 has the distinction as the “Greatest Maritime Disaster in United States History”. The Sultana Disaster Museum focuses on the steamboat itself, from its construction to destruction and the aftermath of the disaster.

Guitar Walk at Cavenaugh Park

A 115-foot-long Epiphone Casino guitar, complete with frets, strings and unbelievable detail honors the early legends that gave birth to Rock ‘n’ Roll while playing venues along the Rock ‘n’ Roll Highway 67 that runs through the area. Guitar Walk pays tribute to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Conway Twitty and others. Audio narration on the free walk is by legendary Sun Studio recording artist, Sonny Burgess.
