Ozarks 250 Block Party in Springdale

Celebrate Culture, Community and History in Springdale

This summer, the grounds of the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History will transform into one of the region's most unique community celebrations. The Ozarks 250 Block Party, taking place July 11 from 3 to 8 p.m., invites visitors to explore the stories, traditions and cultures that have shaped the Ozarks while celebrating America's 250th birthday.

Designed as a lively, family-friendly festival, the free event brings together music, food, art, history and hands-on activities from organizations across Northwest Arkansas and beyond. Visitors can experience live performances, cultural demonstrations, interactive exhibits and opportunities to connect with the many communities that contribute to the region's identity.

Arkansas Ozarks musician Nick Shoulders headlines the event, bringing his distinctive blend of country, folk and old-time music to the stage. Dance performances from regional cultural organizations, historic dance demonstrations and community square dancing add to the festive atmosphere.

Families will find plenty to explore, from mini-train rides and face painting to 19th-century games, fishing demonstrations, hands-on art activities and opportunities to learn traditional crafts. Visitors can also discover exhibits and presentations highlighting Ozark history, heritage and the diverse cultural influences that continue to shape the region today.

The celebration also marks the debut of Our Changing Landscape, a new exhibit examining the Ozarks through the lens of America's 250th anniversary.

Food trucks will be on-site throughout the event, and admission is free.

Whether you're interested in local history, regional music, cultural traditions or simply looking for a memorable summer outing, the Ozarks 250 Block Party offers a unique opportunity to experience the many stories that make the Ozarks unlike anywhere else.
