What to know
After years of cultivating their reputation and perfecting the delicious pies at their original Oklahoma location, the owners of Grateful Head Pizza Oven & Beer Garden have made Hot Springs their second home. Located in a renovated and restored building on Exchange Street in the downtown historic district, Grateful Head has quickly become a favorite for visitors to the Spa City.
Built at the turn of the 19th century, the Exchange Building has had many lives and Grateful Head is proud to give it its latest life. The incredible deck is built into the side of West Mountain and features original stone patios. Outdoor dining here offers some of the best views of downtown Hot Springs, including the beautiful Quapaw Bathhouse dome as well as the Hot Springs National Park Visitors Center housed in the Fordyce Bathhouse. Views of the old Army & Navy Hospital and Hot Springs Mountain Tower afford diners unparalleled ambiance found nowhere else in the Spa City. Inside the restaurant find historic photos of the building as well as concert posters and photos from the restaurant’s namesake, The Grateful Dead.
The views and the ambiance aren’t the only things to tempt you to visit
Grateful Head. Only the freshest ingredients go into the pizzas, salads and
sandwiches. Pizzas even rock a hand-braided crust. Gluten-free, vegan and
vegetarian options are also available. Thirsts are quenched with artisan sodas,
craft beer and two full bars. Live music on the deck makes for a full Grateful
Head experience. Online orders are welcome and can be placed here.
You’re invited to enjoy the yummy goodness of Grateful Head Pizza Oven &
Beer Garden and the beauty of Hot Springs.
