Beginning Knitting

In the early part of the 20th century--including the time of the oil boom in South Arkansas--many knit items were handmade since stores with mass produced items weren't common in the rural areas.  Join a park interpreter to learn the basics of how knitting was done and practice doing those skills yourself.  You will leave with a project that you make! The class is designed for ages 12 through adult (minors must be accompanied by a guardian).  Space is limited, so please call the museum ahead of time to reserve a spot and to cover the cost of your class materials.
