Girl Scouts Love State Parks: A Sack in Time

The Plum Bayou people likely used a technique called twining to make shoes, bags, and more. Twining is the process of interlacing strings to make textiles. During this workshop, you will begin twining a small bag out of natural fibers using a wooden frame and your fingertips. Advance reservations are required by calling the park at (501) 961-9442 by September 4. Payment can be made the day of the workshop.
