Girl Scouts Love State Parks: Kayak Cruise

Join Lake Frierson State Park for Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend. This weekend is a national effort that encourages girl scouts all across the U.S. to get outdoors to make meaningful connections and memories at parks. 

One of the best ways to experience Lake Frierson is from inside a kayak. Join a park interpreter to cruise north on the lake, where the water starts to shallow, water plants thrive, and chances of spotting wildlife increase. No paddling experience is necessary to sign up for this guided kayak adventure; instructions for beginners will be provided. Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets are provided. Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet. Bring a bottle of water, sunscreen, plus any snacks you may need. Scouts must be at least six years old to participate with an adult, and at least 10 years old to paddle a boat solo. Kayaks are limited and registration is required.
